Delete your MyEvents360 account
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account in the MyEvents360 app (Android, iOS and web version), what is erased and what is kept. You can delete your account at any time, free of charge, from the app or by writing to us.
1. From the app
- Open the MyEvents360 app and tap the "Profile" tab.
- At the top right, tap the "Settings" gear icon.
- At the very bottom of the screen, tap "Delete my account".
- Read the summary, enter your password in the "Current password" field, then tap "Delete permanently".
Deletion is normally immediate and you are signed out. In case of a technical incident, the account is first deactivated and its deletion is then completed automatically as soon as possible. If you have forgotten your password, use "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen, or write to us (below).
2. Without the app
Write to contact@myevents360.com with the subject "Account deletion — MyEvents360":
- from your account's email address;
- or, if your account has no email address, stating your account's phone number.
To prevent someone else from deleting your account, we may ask you to confirm the request from that address or number before acting on it. We will never ask for your password. Deletion is carried out within one month at most of receiving the request (GDPR, article 12), and we confirm to you once it has been done.
3. Before you delete your account
- Subscription: deleting your account does not cancel a subscription taken out through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel it first from the subscription settings of the store concerned, otherwise Apple or Google will keep charging it.
- Copy of your data: you can download a copy before deleting, from Profile › Settings › Privacy › "Download my personal data".
4. Data that is deleted
- Your profile: name, profile name, email address, phone number, secondary emails and numbers, profile photo, cover, bio, date of birth, preferences and settings.
- Your sign-in details, sessions and notification tokens.
- Your messages, in event and group chats as well as in private messages, with their attachments and reactions.
- The photos and videos you uploaded, in every event, including events created by other people; your guestbook entries and the Souvenir videos you requested, with their voice-overs.
- Your event and group memberships, your replies to invitations, your votes, your contacts and your invitations.
- The events you created where you are the only confirmed member (pending requests and the waiting list do not count), and the groups where you are the last active member.
- Your data export archives, the AI feature usage log, age files and parental supervision links (the other account is notified).
- Your unpublished themes: personal themes and pending publication requests.
5. Content shared with other people
- Events you created that have other members: they are not deleted. They are handed over to the event's longest-standing admin, otherwise the longest-standing member, who is notified. Content posted there by other members remains.
- Your content in other people's events and groups (photos, videos, messages, guestbook entries): it is deleted, for all members.
- Souvenir videos made by other members: a video montage another member has already created with your photos or videos is not changed and remains available to that member, even after your account and your media are deleted.
- Private messages: your private conversations are deleted in both directions, including for the person you were writing to, together with the files exchanged — except a file that person also shared elsewhere (with someone else, or in an event or group chat), which stays there.
- Shared contributions: items you added to a "Who brings what" list, checklist tasks and points you added to an event's map stay in the event, without your name. A group you created that has other members also stays, without a creator.
- Event activity history: your past actions appear there as "Deleted user".
- Themes published in the library: a theme you published remains available to other users, with no link to your account (Terms of Service, article 4 bis).
- Copies already saved: a photo, video or file that another member has already downloaded to their device is beyond our control.
6. Data that is kept
Some data is kept after deletion, for the following reasons and periods. Most of it no longer remains linked to your name or contact details; some of it keeps only your former account's technical identifier (a random string of characters), with no other information about you. The exceptions, set out below, are shared expenses (the name shown there), evidence related to the protection of minors (the copy of the content and of its author's profile) and the fingerprints used to block a new sign-up.
- Shared expenses (amounts, split, receipts): they remain in the event, under the name shown there, so that the other participants' balances stay correct, for as long as the event exists.
- Reports you filed: they are kept, detached from your account (they are no longer linked to your identity), for handling reports and appeals, then for 12 months after they have been handled.
- Reports about your content or your account: kept with technical references only (identifiers of the content and its author, dates), never the content itself, for handling reports and appeals, then for 12 months after they have been handled.
- Feedback and support requests (bugs and suggestions, with their screenshots): 12 months after they have been handled, and at most 2 years after they were sent if they are never handled.
- Moderation log (moderation decisions and actions, which refer to your former account only by a technical identifier): 3 years.
- Evidence related to the protection of minors: if any of your content was hidden following a report related to the protection of minors, a copy of that content and of the reports about it (and, for a reported profile, a copy of the profile: name, photo, bio) is kept for 1 year from the time it was hidden, extended if legal proceedings are under way, even after the account is deleted.
- Sanctions and legal obligations, to meet our legal obligations and to be able to defend ourselves in court: warnings, 7 years after the warning; suspensions, 5 years after they end; encrypted, non-reversible fingerprints of your verified email address and phone number, if your account was suspended with a sign-up block, erased at most 5 years after the suspension; reports of your content to the authorities, 6 years after they are sent, extended while court proceedings are ongoing; log of the team's views of your private messages, 5 years after each view; orders from the authorities and non-disclosure orders concerning your content or your account, 6 years after they are closed or end, an order being kept for as long as it keeps a piece of content removed.
- Subscriptions: purchases are made and invoiced by the App Store or Google Play, which keep the invoices and accounting records under their own obligations; we do not keep invoices. Our subscription management provider, RevenueCat, keeps your purchase history under your former account's technical identifier, without your name or contact details.
- Cached copies: deleted photos, videos and files may remain reachable at their direct address for up to 4 hours in the cache of our content delivery network, until it expires. They no longer appear in the app.
- Technical logs and error reports: 90 days at most; email delivery logs, at the email provider: 12 months at most.
- Disaster-recovery backups: when disaster-recovery backups are in service, they are encrypted copies of the database and files, kept for 7 days and technically protected against deletion for at most 14 days. Deleted data then leaves the backups no later than 14 days after its deletion. Should the service ever be restored from a backup, accounts deleted in the meantime would be deleted again before the service is brought back online.
Full details of the data we process and how long it is kept are in the privacy policy (§5, Retention period).
