Child Safety Standards

MyEvents360 applies a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page describes strictly prohibited behaviors, the ways to report them, and how we handle reports.

1. Strictly prohibited content and behavior

The following are formally forbidden across all our services:

  • Any image, video, drawing or text depicting a minor in a sexual, erotic or suggestive context (CSAM — Child Sexual Abuse Material).
  • Soliciting a minor for sexual purposes, regardless of the channel used (private messages, event chat, comments).
  • Grooming: psychological manipulation aimed at gaining a minor's trust to abuse them.
  • Distribution, sharing or promotion of links, groups or websites hosting CSAM content.
  • Exploitation or endangerment of a minor in any form (trafficking, prostitution, incitement to run away).

2. Reporting mechanisms

  • In the app — the "Report" button offers the reasons "Sexual content involving a minor" and "Minor safety" (endangering a minor). It is available on photos and videos, guestbook entries, event and group chat messages, private messages, and user profiles. An event can be reported for endangering a minor.
  • Without an account — the website's public reporting form; for the reason "Sexual content involving a minor", your name and email are optional (they remain required for endangering a minor).
  • By email: contact@myevents360.com with subject line "CSAE Report".
  • Immediate emergency: if a minor is in imminent danger, contact law enforcement immediately (112 in Europe, 17 in France) before or in parallel with your report to MyEvents360.

A report made from the app for these reasons triggers an immediate alert (notification and email) to the platform administrators, and it is placed at the top of their review queue. A report received through the public form or by email is forwarded to the team by email and reviewed by a human, without automatic hiding. All these reports are reviewed as a priority, as quickly as possible — our target is 24 hours. The organizers of the event concerned are not notified of these reports.

3. Handling of reports

  • Immediate hiding — when a photo, video, event or group chat message, private message, or guestbook entry is reported from the app as sexual content involving a minor or as endangering a minor, it is in principle no longer shown in the app to anyone (organizers and author included) from the first report, pending review. To prevent abuse, the number of automatic hides a single user can trigger is limited (5 per 24-hour period); beyond that, the report is still passed on to the team.
  • Human review — every report is reviewed by a platform administrator, who views the reported content (images and videos included) through access restricted to that report, protected and logged, then decides on the follow-up: removal of the content, or restoring it if it is not at fault.
  • Evidence preservation — when content is hidden, a copy of the content and of the reports is set aside in a separate storage area (barring a technical incident, in which case the copy is retried). This copy remains even if the content, the event or its author's account is later deleted, and only a platform administrator can release it, after review. It is kept for 1 year from the time the content was hidden, extended if legal proceedings are under way; it is deleted sooner if the report turns out to be unfounded. While it is in place, neither the author nor the organizers can delete the content from the app.
  • Account suspension — a reported account or event is not suspended automatically; suspending or deactivating the account concerned is decided by a platform administrator after review.

A copy already saved on a device before the content was hidden is beyond our control.

4. Cooperation with authorities

MyEvents360 responds to requests from the competent judicial and administrative authorities and provides them, within the framework laid down by law, with information relevant to their investigation. Where the review of a report establishes manifestly child sexual abuse content, we report it to the competent authorities (Pharos, the French police reporting platform, or the public prosecutor) and preserve the evidence, protected from deletion, for at least one year and for as long as an investigation is ongoing. The same applies to any threat to a child's life or safety.

5. Legal framework

The content and behavior described in section 1 are punishable in particular under:

  • France — articles 227-22-1, 227-23 and 227-24 of the Penal Code.
  • European Union — Directive 2011/93/EU on combating the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children; Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 on digital services for the handling of reports of illegal content.

6. Minimum age

The minimum age to use MyEvents360 is 15 years old. A date of birth is requested at sign-up: if it shows an age under 15, the account is not created. Accounts created before this step are asked to provide their date of birth to keep using the service. A profile can be reported from the app with the reason "Under the minimum age"; our team reviews the account and may reclassify, suspend or delete it. The holder of a reclassified account can contest the decision by sending a photo of an identity document, which is deleted as soon as a decision is made and, in any event, no later than 7 days after it was sent.

Accounts of 15 to 17-year-olds have default protections: they are not shown to adults they have no connection with (contact, shared private event or group, mutual contact), moderation of their private messages is always on, their location cannot be shared publicly, their notifications are muted at night, they cannot create public events and they see neither events an organizer has restricted to adults nor public events that can be joined without an invitation. A parent or trusted adult can, if both they and the teen wish, turn on optional supervision, which never gives access to the teen's messages, photos or location. Organizers of events involving minors are asked to exercise additional vigilance: restrict access to the guest list, share photos only within a trusted circle, and obtain parental consent before any publication including a minor.

7. Our resources

  • Automated detection — a moderation classifier supplied by a provider (OpenAI) analyzes images and text according to each space's settings; it may automatically hide inappropriate content. We do not, at this time, use hash matching against known child sexual abuse material.
  • Human review — reports are reviewed by the platform administrators on the merits (the reported content, images and videos included, is viewed through restricted, logged access), with an immediate alert and priority ranking for reports concerning minors.
  • User tools — block, leave an event, control of visibility permissions.
  • Age and protection of minors — date of birth requested at sign-up, default protections for 15 to 17-year-olds, optional parental supervision, events restricted to adults (see §6). Age relies on the user's own declaration: we do not carry out systematic identity checks.

This policy is reviewed regularly and updated based on legislative developments, best practices and the measures in place in the service.
